Custom Calling I

The product family for Custom Calling I products includes 7 different features which are listed below with product descriptions:

Call Waiting
This feature lets the consumer know someone else is calling when they are using their telephones. If the consumer ignores the first beep, there will be a second one in ten seconds. The party calling hears only the normal ringing. To answer the incoming call, the consumer simply tells the party currently on the line that they will be placed on hold and then the consumer presses and releases the receiver button quickly to answer the incoming call.

Enhanced Call Waiting
If the consumer is going to make an important call and does not want to be disturbed by incoming calls, they may want to activate Enhanced Call Waiting. This feature lets the consumer temporarily turn off the Call Waiting service before making a call they do not want interrupted or before making a call using a computer modem. This feature works on a per call basis and call waiting is automatically restored when the consumer hangs up.

Call Forwarding
Lets calls keep up with customers while they are away from their home or business. This feature allows the customer to redirect all calls to another telephone number by simply pressing some programmed keys on the telephone.

Remote Call Forwarding
This product allows the consumer to activate the call forwarding product when they are not at home or their away from their telephone. By activating this feature their calls will be routed to a different number.

Three Way Calling
Turn a telephone into a teleconference center by using three way calling. This feature allows consumers to call one party then place them on hold then pick up another person on a third line. Then with the touch of the switch hook the consumer has a call where all three parties can speak at the same time.

Speed Calling 8 and Speed Calling 30
The Speed Calling 8 and Speed Calling 30 features allows the consumer to preprogram the dialing of 8 or 30 different telephone numbers on their phone. With the simple touch of *01 their phone will automatically dial that preprogrammed number. This feature is particularly good for families, Senior Citizens, and small businesses.

Call Forward Busy/No Answer
This feature allows you to forward your telephone to a predefined number if you are on the telephone or if you are not home.

Wire Maintenance

With the deregulation of the telephone industry by the FCC, all customers have become responsible for the maintenance of the telephone wiring and jacks in their homes, places of business, and buildings from the connector box (NOD - Network Interface Device) to the point of outside connection into and throughout the premises. Because of the FCC ruling, Cascade Utilities has made Wire Maintenance available. Customers may purchase Wire Maintenance for the low monthly costs of $1.35 per month.
